Generate assets for your project

Choose the products your project needs. Install their Skills, connect one TTAPI key, then describe what to create and where to use it.

Before you start: an agent with Skills support, project, terminal and web access; Node.js 22.20+ for the installer; a TTAPI API key.

01

Choose and install your Skills

Choose the products you need, then copy one of the two installation options.

Option A In your AI chat

Keep your project open, then paste this into your agent.

Install ttapi-openai-image, ttapi-wan-video, ttapi-suno from https://github.com/ttapi-io/ttapi-skills into this project for the client I'm using. Verify the installed files and report their paths. Read https://docs.ttapi.io/llms.txt for the relevant official API docs. Do not generate media during installation.

GitHub provides the Skills. llms.txt points your agent to the API docs.

Option B In your project terminal

Run from the project folder, then select your current client in the installer.

npx skills add ttapi-io/ttapi-skills --skill ttapi-openai-image ttapi-wan-video ttapi-suno

Both options install the same selected Skills. Choose one installation method.

Finished? Your agent should confirm the installed Skill names and paths before you create anything.
02

Configure your API key

Set your key locally, then check that your agent can read it.

In your local terminal or client settings

Get your key and set TTAPI_API_KEY where your agent's scripts run. Enter the key locally, outside chat.

Get API key
  • Terminal agents — after setting the key, run codex, claude, agent or gemini in that same terminal.
  • Cursor editor — use Agent mode with the key available to its command environment.

Then check it in your AI chat

Check whether TTAPI_API_KEY is non-empty in the environment you use to run TTAPI scripts. Report only configured or missing, without revealing the value. If missing, explain how to set it locally for this client. Make no API requests.

This checks whether the key is visible to your agent. It does not validate the key or your balance.

03

Create and use your project assets

Pick a product and adapt the example to your project. Your agent reads the docs, creates the asset and connects it to your app.

Selected in step 01. Complete installation before creating.

Paste into your project's AI chat

Inspect this project, then use ttapi-openai-image and GPT Image 2 to create a streetwear campaign image with the tagline ‘Yours to Create’. Read the relevant official API docs via https://docs.ttapi.io/llms.txt before submitting. Save the result in the existing asset folder, use it in an appropriate page and check the result.

What your agent handles

Inspect your project and read the relevant API docs. Generate the image using your local API key. Save the image, use it in an appropriate page and check the result.

Installation and local key checks use no TTAPI generation credits. Media generation uses your TTAPI balance.Installation guide

Questions

A few details before you start.

Do I need to install all 16 product Skills?

Choose only the products your project needs. The catalog groups 8 image, 6 video and 2 music Skills; a product Skill can include multiple models or versions. Select another product later to generate its installation prompt.

I already use ttapi-image, ttapi-video or ttapi-audio. What changes?

Your original combined Skills are retained. They do not include every newly added product, so install a specific Skill when you need a new workflow. You do not need overlapping product and combined Skills for the same workflow.

Does installation use credits?

Installing and reading the Skills is free. Generating or editing media uses your TTAPI account balance. Prices vary by model and operation; check the current pricing before generating.

Where are generated files saved?

Tell your agent which project folder to use. Ask it to download the result and return the saved file path. For video and music tasks, keep the task ID so you can retrieve the same result later.

What if a generation takes longer?

A wait timeout does not necessarily mean the generation failed. Ask your agent to continue checking the existing task using its saved ID. If a submission returned no ID, check your TTAPI dashboard before starting another generation.
